Eligibility & Requirements

WAEC maintains strict criteria to ensure the security and quality of its operations.

  • Age Limit: Applicants must be 40 years old or younger by the closing date of the application.

  • O'Level Standard: A minimum of five (5) credits in WASSCE/SSCE/GCE, including English Language and Mathematics, in one sitting (or six credits in not more than two sittings).

  • Computer Literacy: This is compulsory for all positions. You must be proficient in basic office applications.

  • NYSC: Degree and HND holders must possess a valid NYSC Discharge, Exclusion, or Exemption Certificate.


Specific Academic Qualifications

  • Officer Roles: Bachelor’s Degree or HND (Minimum of Second Class Lower/Lower Credit) in relevant fields like Accounting, Computer Science, Secretarial Studies, or Social Sciences.

  • Assistant Roles: National Diploma (ND) or NCE from a recognized institution in relevant disciplines.

  • Professional Edge: For Accounts and Audit roles, certifications like ICAN, ACCA, or ATS are significant advantages.
